The Institute's mission is to provide opportunities for the spiritual formation and leadership development of people who are called to be servant leaders. Its work and focus is that of convener, teacher and nurturer through conferences, retreats, pilgrimages and publications. Its principal programs are:


Workshops and Retreats

The Institute offers several models-a weekend workshop for leadership groups from business, churches, and academia that introduces concepts and practices of servant leadership; an extended retreat (4-5 days) that integrates spiritual deepening and silence into the pattern of learning; and specially-designed retreats and programs for churches, business or community organizations.

Pilgrimages

The pilgrimage program offers participants the opportunity to spend two weeks immersed in a spiritual community that follows a rhythm of study, dialogue and prayer. Through travel, presentations and group discussion the pilgrimage participants reflect on their lives and practices as servant leaders.
